Developing organisational and financial models
for including non-formal sector qualifications
in National Qualifications Frameworks

Project meetings

The third meeting of NQF-IN project partners will be held in Split, Croatia on 29-30 September 2016. This meeting will further the work on developing models of including qualifications attained outside of the formal education systems in national qualifications frameworks.

The participants of the Split meeting will represent the project’s partner institutions from Croatia (University of Split), Czech Republic (NUV), France (CÉREQ), Hungary (OH), Ireland (DIT), Scotland (SCQFP) and Poland (IBE – project leader).

The meeting is being held to review the country reports (IO 2-8) prepared by each partner institution on how their country’s qualifications frameworks includes those qualifications awarded outside of the formal education systems in national qualifications frameworks. During the meeting, each partner will present their country reports. The purpose of this information, presented according to an agreed template, is to provide the analytical foundation for developing the models of how the national qualifications systems of other EU Member States and countries can include non-formal sector qualifications in their NQFs. The presentation of country reports will be followed by a discussion to identify what further steps may be needed to improve specific country reports as well as to improve the country report template (IO1). Additionally, we will also discuss the basic characteristics of the models to be developed and future project activities.

Producing the country reports according to an agreed methodology will contribute to the main aim of the project, which is to support decision makers in EU Member States as well as European institutions (European Commission, Cedefop, European Training Foundation) in developing policies to include qualifications attained outside of the school and higher education systems in national qualifications frameworks.
