Works as a translator at the Educational Research Institute (IBE) in Warsaw, Poland. She is a native speaker of English and provides language support to the team. At IBE, she translated over 50 publications, brochures and PR materials into English, among them: the Polish Referencing Report, Self-Certification Report of the National Qualifications Framework for Higher Education, The Quality Assurance of Qualifications in the Integrated Qualifications System, the chapter on VET in IBE’s 2011 Report on the State of Education and the study report “Competency-based human resources management: The lifelong learning perspective”. She also served as an interpreter for IBE staff attending study visits about qualifications systems in Scotland, Wales, England, Ireland, Denmark and Belgium.
She also has extensive experience as a free-lance programme evaluator, performing evaluations for such organisations as the United Nations Development Programme in Poland, Open Society Institute, Ministry of Labour and Social Policy/Poland, La Strada Foundation, Gruntvig and Socrates funded projects, EU EQUAL national and transnational projects, as well as for private Polish foundations - the Stefan Batory Foundation and the Foundation for Poland. As a trainer, she conducts workshops in programme evaluation, planning and proposal writing for NGOs.
Barbara Przybylska has a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration in Community Organizing, Planning and Management and has also completed post-graduate studies at the University of Warsaw in the Evaluation of Social Programmes.
